JAKE is a volunteer organization aimed to help the growth of the local music scene without the use of social media. If you have any ideas or want to get involved please send us an email and we would be happy to collaborate. We cannot do JAKE without you, the reader. Thank you for your support and let's continue to make JAKE the best newsletter it can be.
Also, have any flyers that you'd like to see on the newsletter? Send them our way and you'll be sure to see them on next week's edition!

Silly little tiger moment! XD
"Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?"

Clear Vision Collective is an organization aimed at supporting and promoting the California local music scene. Creating a bimonthly magazine, they encourage artists from all over California to submit any type of art form to be featured and make up their magazine. One quote from the magazine that really stuck with me was, "How are you involved in your local DIY community?" I think it's important to remember that none of this is possible without your support. We all have to play our role in creating our local scene and fostering a supportive and inviting scene. That being said,
What are you doing to support your local DIY scene?

In an ever-evolving age of “new,” smartphones and social media dependency have been on the rise. Social media’s original intention was to connect us but has ultimately separated us further from each other. This newsletter comes to you to lessen your dependency on this isolating technology. We aim to move away from these vices and support those choosing to use the “dumb phone.” Using email rather than social media, this newsletter will supply information on events as well as updates on the music scene within SLO. Without social media, you risk missing out on real social events, but this newsletter will allow you to skip the FOMO and stay in the loop of everything going on in the central coast scene.
This newsletter will update you about shows, gigs, concerts and other events. It will also feature concert reviews, artist spotlights, weekly playlists, and more.
