WHY JAKE??!?!

In an ever-evolving age of “new,” smartphones and social media dependency have been on the rise. Social media’s original intention was to connect us but has ultimately separated us further from each other. This newsletter comes to you to lessen your dependency on this isolating technology. We aim to move away from these vices and support those choosing to use the “dumb phone.” Using email rather than social media, this newsletter will supply information on events as well as updates on the music scene within SLO. Without social media, you risk missing out on real social events, but this newsletter will allow you to skip the FOMO and stay in the loop of everything going on in the central coast scene.

This newsletter will update you about shows, gigs, concerts and other events. It will also feature concert reviews, artist spotlights, weekly playlists, and more.

Last weeks show at Linnea's

Last week, .wavzine put together a show for fire relief in L.A. In the back of Linnea's, out in their beautiful vine-covered patio, a crowd gathered to experience the sounds of two local bands: Amttrak and Donde.

Donde started the night off with funky grooves and high-energy vibes. Playing through the rain, they kept the energy up even while huddled under an umbrella.

Amttrak came up next, drowning the crowd in intricate and contrasting guitar riffs, with soft vocals floating overhead and intricate drumming underneath it all. They were both loud and quiet, and unrelentingly great.

This week enjoy some mellow vibes to get you through the week!
